Message from the President

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the creation of PTPickle - Pickleball Association of Portugal. This is a significant milestone for the development of Pickleball in our country, a sport that has seen exponential growth worldwide and, more recently, in Portugal.

PTPickle - Associação Pickleball de Portugal was born with a clear mission: to promote the growth and consolidation of Pickleball on three fundamental pillars:

• Physical Education and School Sports - Integrating the sport into Physical Education and School Sports programmes, encouraging interest among young people.

• Competition - Establish a solid structure for regional and national competitions, preparing our athletes to take part in international events.

• Health and Social - To promote Pickleball as a recreational and leisure activity, highlighting its benefits for physical and mental health, as well as its positive impact on social interactions.

Pickleball is more than a sport - it's a passion, a community and an opportunity to unite people of all ages. With the involvement of schools, clubs and society in general, we believe in the potential of this sport to become a benchmark on the Portuguese sporting scene.

We are counting on your support to make this vision a reality and take Portuguese Pickleball to new heights.

About the Associação Pickleball de Portugal

The Pickleball Association of Portugal, founded in January 2025, arose from the initiative of a group of pickleball players who saw the need to create an organisation that could promote and develop this sport in Portugal on a sustained basis. This idea had its genesis in October 2024.

Our Objectives

To direct, organise, regulate and supervise the practice of PICKLEBALL at national level.

Promote the promotion, development and dissemination of PICKLEBALL in the competitive and leisure spheres.

To represent the interests of its members before the Public Administration.

Defend the fundamental principles of sporting ethics, particularly in the areas of fairness in competition, truthfulness of sporting results and the prevention and sanctioning of violence associated with sport, doping and corruption of the sporting phenomenon.

To obtain the status of a legal person of public utility and subsequently the status of a legal person of public sporting utility.

Representing Portuguese PICKLEBALL at international sports organisations where it is affiliated, as well as organisations where it is affiliated, as well as ensuring the competitive participation of national teams.

To promote the training of sports agents, developing the necessary training.
